«RECTOR AND YOUTH» MEETING

At the Academy of Labor and Social Relations under the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, one of the most important events of the new academic year—the traditional «Rector and Youth» meeting—took place.

The open dialogue, held in a warm and trusting atmosphere, was attended by the Rector of the Academy, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Sayfulla Normatovich Ahmedov, faculty members, mass media representatives, and primarily first-year students.

At the beginning of the event, the Rector warmly congratulated the youth on being admitted to a prestigious higher education institution, emphasizing that all necessary conditions and wide opportunities have been created for students to thoroughly master their chosen profession. In addition, a group of talented young men and women who scored high points on entrance exams and were admitted to the Academy were solemnly presented with commemorative gifts.

The most practical part of the meeting turned into an open Q&A session. Students had the opportunity to directly address the management with their initiatives and pressing issues. In particular, a number of issues raised by first-year students were promptly resolved on the spot:

• Establishing music and art clubs and strengthening their material and technical base;
• Revitalizing sports activities to meaningfully organize students' leisure time;
• Launching a system of regular «Zakovat» intellectual games to bring talented youth together.

Furthermore, another important initiative was put forward during the meeting. The Rector gave specific instructions to responsible officials to organize special excursions for the cultural recreation of students and to help them closely discover the country’s landmarks and ancient historical sites.

At the conclusion of the event, which took place in an atmosphere of lively and constructive dialogue, the students expressed their sincere gratitude to the university management for the created conditions and constant support, vowing to grow into highly qualified professionals.

This sincere conversation left a lasting impression on the students. Such events serve as a solid foundation not only for acquiring quality knowledge, but also for active civic engagement and the formation of youth as an advanced strata of society.
