Practical Seminar Held for Students of the Academy of Labour and Social Relations
A practical seminar was organized for 4th-year law students (group 109-23) of the Academy of Labour and Social Relations at the Republican Council of the Agro-Industrial Complex Workers' Union of Uzbekistan. The session was coordinated by Zebiniso Babakulova, assistant lecturer of the department.
During the seminar, students received detailed insights into the essence of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Trade Unions", the legal status of trade unions, their core tasks, and their role in protecting the labor rights and legitimate interests of employees.
Special attention was paid to the procedures for establishing and operating trade unions, the rights and obligations of members, principles of social partnership, and relations with employers.
Furthermore, using the activities of the Republican Council as an example, the involvement of trade unions in regulating labor relations, drafting collective agreements and accords, securing the socio-economic interests of employees, and exercising public control over labor legislation compliance was explained.
The seminar also featured an interactive exchange of views on the practical application of legislative norms, common legal issues in labor relations, and their resolution mechanisms. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical examples.
This practical seminar served to enrich the legal knowledge of future lawyers regarding trade union activities, connect labor legislation with real-world practice, and further develop their professional skills.
