The Alley of Writers: A Journey into Knowledge, Culture and Spiritual Heritage

The Academy of Labour and Social Relations continues to implement educational and cultural initiatives aimed at broadening students’ intellectual horizons, strengthening their spiritual values and fostering a deeper appreciation of Uzbekistan’s rich historical and literary heritage.

As part of these ongoing efforts, another educational visit to the Alley of Writers was organised this week. The initiative was led by the Academy’s Department of Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Activities (Yoshlar masalalari va ma’naviy-ma’rifiy ishlar bo‘limi), in cooperation with the Academy’s tutors. The visit was attended primarily by first-year students.

During the visit, students explored the lives, contributions and literary heritage of prominent figures in Uzbek history and literature. Particular attention was devoted to Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, one of the leading representatives of the Jadid movement, an outstanding enlightener and a dedicated advocate of national progress.

Students learned about Behbudi’s remarkable contribution to public education, his commitment to spreading knowledge, promoting modern learning and raising public awareness. His activities in education, literature, journalism and theatre were also discussed, highlighting his vision of an enlightened society and the importance of education in shaping the future of the nation.

The visit provided students with an opportunity to reflect on the enduring relevance of Behbudi’s ideas and the values he championed. His dedication to knowledge, social development and the intellectual advancement of younger generations remains an inspiring example for today's youth.

Such educational visits play an important role in strengthening students’ historical awareness, promoting respect for national heritage, nurturing patriotism and encouraging young people to draw meaningful lessons from the lives of great historical figures.

The Academy will continue to support initiatives that contribute to students’ intellectual growth, cultural awareness and spiritual development.

The legacy of our ancestors inspires us to build a more enlightened and promising future!
